It can be hard to decide wither to wear jewellery or not. For those who don’t ever wear jewellery it could be a simple no to that answer. For those who do, what type do you go for? What will you wear?
I would advise my brides that if you have a rather engaging dress then don’t wear too much jewellery, maybe a pair of earrings. The last thing you want to do is to take away from the gown. On the other hand, if you have a plain dress then bring in some sparkle with some light catching jewels. Remember to think about the neck line of your dress, you might not require a necklace.
I do think it’s important to remember that you don’t have to wear the whole works; bracelet, watch, earrings, necklace and a head piece. You don’t want to look like a Christmas tree!
Choose wisely and even consider getting your jewellery made. At least then you can best describe what you want and you know what to expect. Bring samples of your bridesmaid dresses so that the colours blend in. Here in the shop we stock beautiful handmade range available here.
Why not incorporate your birthstone into the jewels? It makes it a lot more personal. Whatever you decide to do make sure you plan the jewellery and don’t buy the first thing you see!
Let us know what you think!
